Tosca is an upscale Italian restaurant in Geneva. In love with Tuscany and Italian culture, the restaurant honours the art of cooking and inspires from other art forms such as theatre, poetry, visual arts and so on.
I lead the design team to develop a brand Identity in line with their intentions.
The challenge was to propose a logo that would reflect the essence of Tuscany’s generosity and conviviality along cultural inspirations, in a simple yet elegant form.
To pay homage to the country’s artistic heritage, we came up with a unique logomark inspired by stone-cut writing. The graphic environment further deploys with text, giving an opportunity to infuse quotes and sentences and speak of a prolific and inspiring culture. The business card also plays off that relationship, borrowing its shape from vintage opera ticket.
